Apprentice Employment Network WA

Apprentice Employment Network WA delivers Apprenticeship and Traineeship Recruitment through its member Group Training Organisations (GTOs) across metropolitan, regional and remote Western Australia, and has helped more than 10,000 apprentices and trainees start their careers since 1993.

• Western Australia’s peak not-for-profit association for GTOs, established in 1993, registered as a charity with the ACNC in 2017 and a member of the National Apprentice Employment Network.
• Member GTOs recruit and screen candidates, directly employ apprentices and trainees and place them with host businesses, covering wages, superannuation, leave and workers’ compensation, and applying for eligible government incentives on the host employer’s behalf.
• Members include MEGT, MIGAS, Skill Hire WA, Electrical Group Training and Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporation, spanning 18 industry sectors from construction and electrical to hospitality and aged care.

Apprentice Employment Network WA supports Apprenticeship and Traineeship Training across Western Australia, with member Group Training Organisations arranging and paying for the training of every apprentice and trainee they employ.

• Member GTOs coordinate formal and on-the-job training and back it with mentoring, pastoral care, career advice and safety equipment throughout the apprenticeship.
• Training pathways span 18 industry sectors, including building and construction, electrical, automotive, metals and manufacturing, hospitality, and aged care, health and education.
• Publishes career information for job seekers, parents and career advisors, and recognises apprentices and trainees through annual Awards for Excellence and Duke of Edinburgh scholarships.
