Vendor FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about registration, listings, memberships, payment, cancellation, and how Workforce Directory works for vendors.
What is the Workforce Directory and who is it for? +
The Workforce Directory is Australia's dedicated online directory for businesses that provide products and services in the human resources (HR) and workforce management sector. It is a curated, searchable directory specifically designed for the HR industry, where listed vendors are verified and their information is regularly reviewed for accuracy.
It is designed for two audiences:
- Vendors - businesses that offer HR-related products or services such as payroll, recruitment, training, employee benefits, workplace safety, HR technology, and many more. Vendors list their business on the directory so that potential customers can find them.
- Users - people who are searching for HR and workforce vendors, typically HR managers, business owners, or procurement teams looking for a provider in a specific area.
The directory is operated by Linq HR and developed by Credentials Pty Ltd. It is an Australian-focused platform, built for Australian businesses and governed by Australian law.
Is my business eligible to be listed? +
To register as a vendor on the Workforce Directory, your business needs to meet a few straightforward requirements:
- You must be a business or sole trader operating lawfully in Australia.
- You must hold a valid, current Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Your business must provide products or services in the HR or workforce management space. This is interpreted broadly and includes areas like recruitment, payroll, training, employee wellbeing, workplace safety equipment, HR technology, superannuation, and more.
- You must have the authority to enter into the agreement on behalf of your business.
If you're unsure whether your business fits, feel free to contact us at help@workforcedirectory.com.au and we'll be happy to help you work it out.
How do I register and get my business listed? +
The registration process is simple and can be completed online. Here's how it works, step by step:
Step 1 - Complete the registration form. Visit www.workforcedirectory.com.au and fill in your details: your business name, ABN, a company email address, and a primary contact person.
Step 2 - Verify your identity. We'll check your ABN against the Australian Business Register and send a verification email to your company email address. You'll need to click the link in that email to confirm your identity.
Step 3 - Set up your listing. Once verified, you can log in to your account dashboard and start building your listing - add your business description, services, logo, images, and contact details.
Step 4 - Choose your plan. You'll start with a Free Listing automatically. If you'd like enhanced features and better visibility, you can upgrade to a Pro or Premium Listing at any time.
The whole process typically takes just a few minutes. You'll also receive a "Verified" badge on your listing, which lets users know your business has been through our verification process.
My business is already showing on the directory but I did not register. What is going on? +
Don't worry - this is perfectly normal. As part of building a comprehensive directory, we create listings for businesses using publicly available information such as details from the Australian Business Register, ASIC, your website, and industry directories. We call these "Operator-Created Listings."
An Operator-Created Listing is a basic entry that helps users discover your business. However, you have not been charged anything and you are not bound by any agreement with us until you choose to register.
To take control of your listing, simply use the "Claim This Listing" link on the homepage to find your business, then complete the registration process. Once you've registered and verified your identity, you'll have full control over your listing content and will receive a "Verified" badge.
If you'd prefer your business not to appear on the directory at all, you can request removal by emailing us at help@workforcedirectory.com.au and we'll action it within 10 business days.
What listing plans are available and what do they include? +
We offer three listing tiers to suit different needs and budgets:

Current pricing for Pro and Premium plans is published on the website. All prices are in Australian Dollars and are exclusive of GST. You can start with a Free Listing and upgrade at any time - there's no pressure to commit to a paid plan straight away.
What is a Foundation Member and how do I become one? +
Foundation Membership is a special status available exclusively to vendors who sign up for a Pro or Premium listing during our Pre-Launch Period, that is, before the directory officially launches to the public.
As a Foundation Member, you receive:
- A "Foundation Member" badge displayed on your listing, recognising your early support of the directory.
- A five-year price lock-in: the subscription price you pay during the Pre-Launch Period is locked in for five full years from the date of Official Launch. You will not be affected by any general price increases during that time, as long as you keep your subscription active.
Foundation Membership is automatic - you do not need to apply separately. If you subscribe to a Pro or Premium plan during the Pre-Launch Period, you're in.
Important: Foundation Membership is a one-time opportunity. Once the directory officially launches, Foundation Membership will no longer be available. If you cancel your subscription or downgrade during the five-year lock-in period, Foundation Membership is permanently forfeited and cannot be reinstated.
How does payment work and can I get a refund? +
Payment is straightforward:
- Free Listings are completely free - no payment is required.
- Pro and Premium Listings are paid subscriptions, billed either monthly or annually, depending on what you choose when you sign up.
- Payment is processed securely through the website using Stripe, a trusted payment processor. We do not see or store your full credit card details.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You'll receive an electronic tax invoice after each payment.
Refunds: You can cancel your paid subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you'll keep access to your paid features until then. Refunds are available where the platform fails to deliver the core features of your plan for more than 14 business days due to a fault on our end, or where required under Australian Consumer Law.
Pre-Launch guarantee: If you pay during the Pre-Launch Period and the directory has not officially launched by 30 September 2026, you can request a full refund at any time. If the directory still has not launched by 31 December 2026, all remaining Pre-Launch vendors receive an automatic full refund - no action required on your part.
What am I responsible for once my listing is live? +
Once your listing is live, you are responsible for making sure the information on it stays accurate and up to date. This includes things like your business name, services offered, contact details, and any descriptions or images you've added.
Here are the key things to keep in mind:
- Keep it accurate: all the information on your listing must be truthful and not misleading. Under Australian Consumer Law, businesses can face consequences for making false or misleading claims, so it's important that your listing reflects what your business actually offers.
- Update promptly: if anything changes - new services, a change of address, updated contact details, a new business name - update your listing as soon as you can.
- Respond to review prompts: we'll send you a reminder at least every 60 days asking you to check that your listing is still correct. You have 14 days to respond. If you do not respond to two prompts in a row, we may add a notice to your listing or reduce its visibility until you confirm your details.
- Do not post confidential information: everything you put on your listing is publicly visible. Do not include anything you'd consider confidential, such as internal pricing, client rates, or trade secrets.
How is my data protected? +
We take your privacy and data security seriously. Here is a summary of how we look after your information:
- Australian privacy law: we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our full Privacy Policy is available on the website.
- Data stored in Australia: your data is primarily hosted by VentraIP, an Australian web hosting provider, with backup infrastructure through Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Secure payments: payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We never see or store your full credit card number.
- No sale of your data: we will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without your express consent.
- Data breach notification: in the unlikely event of a data breach that may seriously affect you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
- Your data, your control: you can request an export of your data at any time. If you close your account, we hold your data for 90 days in case you change your mind and then permanently delete it.
What if I want to cancel or I have a complaint? +
Cancelling your listing: you can cancel at any time by logging into your account or by emailing us. If you're on a Free Listing, your listing is simply removed. If you're on a paid plan, your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle and you'll keep your paid features until then.
After cancellation: once your account is closed, your listing is taken down from the directory. We keep your data for 90 days in case you'd like to come back or need a copy of your information. After that, it's permanently deleted unless we're required by law to keep it longer.
Making a complaint: if something is not right, please email us at help@workforcedirectory.com.au. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to give you a full response within 20 business days. If you're not happy with our response, you can ask for the matter to be escalated to senior management, or you can refer the dispute to mediation through the Resolution Institute.
