Aviation and Maritime Security Screening (ASIC/MSIC)
Security ID provides Aviation Industry Screening to airports, airlines, pilots and aviation employers across Australia as an Australia-wide authorised ASIC issuing body operating online applications since 2008.
- Card options include the AUS Card for multiple airports, Regional and Major Airport single airport cards in red or grey, the White Card for Known Consignors, AACA, RACA and issuing body staff, and a Job Ready Card providing evidence of an aviation security clearance.
- Applicants lodge online with operational need evidence, 10 year address history and a digital photograph, then present original identity documents in person at one of 376 Australia Post outlets or to an approved agent.
- Employers, airport operators, airlines, flying schools and aero clubs can act as agents to verify identity, and business and airport customers can make multiple applications for ASICs.
- Security ID applies to AusCheck for the criminal and national security background check and prints the cards itself, with expiry set two years from clearance.
