Business Description

NSC Group is an Australian management consultancy with a team of twelve consultants working from Darwin to Melbourne. It measures workforce culture, reviews organisational structure and capability, and analyses performance data for organisations that want evidence rather than instinct.

Four areas of practice cover workforce culture diagnostics, organisational review, capability frameworks, and executive and leadership coaching. Engagements start with measurement and end with findings ranked by significance and a prioritised action plan.

Service & Expertise

Organisational Development and Design

Culture Assessment and Development

NSC Group provides Culture Assessment and Development to organisations across Australia, measuring how an organisation actually behaves with validated behavioural diagnostics rather than opinion or engagement scores.

  • Diagnostics measure trust and psychological safety, belonging and inclusion, observed leader behaviour, accountability and recognition, and divergence between levels, functions and tenure groups.
  • Where scale is needed the work draws on the Perceptn diagnostic suite, including the High Performance Culture survey, to segment results by team, level and tenure.
  • Engagements run in four stages: agree what the organisation needs to know, measure with validated instruments, analyse and segment, then report findings ranked by significance with a prioritised action plan and a re-measurement date.
  • Deliverables include a quantified culture baseline, plain language findings, named action owners and a defined re-measurement point; responses are anonymous.

Best for: Government agencies, not for profits, professional services firms and healthcare organisations facing unexplained attrition, a merger or restructure, a governance concern or a board asking for evidence.

Organisational Design and Operating Model

NSC Group provides Operating Model and Organisational Design to organisations across Australia through its organisational review practice, examining structure, roles and capability against what the work actually requires.

  • The problem is restated in terms of the work and tested with the executive who commissioned the review.
  • A diagnosis of the work system covers demand, flow and handoffs, decision rights and job design.
  • Outputs include options for a future state structure and a staged implementation plan with a re-measurement point.

Best for: Boards, chief executives and HR leaders post merger, mid growth, under budget pressure or preparing for a change of leadership.

FAQs

What is the difference between a culture diagnostic and an engagement survey?

An engagement survey measures how people feel about working for you and reports a score. A culture diagnostic measures the behaviours and conditions that produce those feelings, such as trust, safety, leader behaviour, accountability and belonging, and reports what is causing the result.

Is participation anonymous?

Yes. Responses are collected and reported so that no individual can be identified, and segments are only reported where group size allows.

Where does NSC Group work?
